The Civil Aviation Aerodromes Technical Directorate used the AAT file series, the Civil Aviation Control and Navigation Directorate the ACN, ACNA and ACNB series, the Aviation Control and Navigational Development and Planning Directorate the ACNDP series, and the Aviation Control and Navigation Operations Directorate the ACNO series. |

The Navigational Services Group was formed to take responsibility for the operational standards of air traffic control systems and services, the operational standards of aerodromes and subjects allied to navigational safety such as maps and charts, meteorological information, telecommunications, aerodrome approach lighting etc. The Group comprised two directorates: Civil Aviation Control and Navigation Directorate and the Civil Aviation Aerodromes Technical Directorate. This structure survived under the Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation, but upon the formation of the Ministry of Aviation these functions were split between the Aviation Control and Navigation Operations Directorate and the Aviation Control and Navigational Development and Planning Directorate. |
