Description:

Vol 1a. At page 201 there is a record of the meeting of the Privy Council on the last day of November 1558, including an order to customs officials in London that all imports of crimson silk should be held at the port in case they are needed for the coronation of the queen (Elizabeth I). The coronation took place on 15 January 1558. The volume contains a subject index from page 289.
