Note: | Nos. 29-76 of SP5/5 are original indentures of leases; all but one are Crown leases of properties which came under the rule of the General Surveyors of the King's Lands, by statute 3 Hen. VIII, c. 23 and later acts: 'ancient' Crown lands and the lands of persons attainted. They date from 1517 to 1542, when the General Surveyors was erected as a court by 33 Hen. VIII, c. 39. (All are in Latin, except nos. 34 and 75.) |
