This Torry documents (TD) series contains accounts of work in progress, internal reports and published material. The TD series also contains revised versions of some TANs (Torry Advisory Notes).

The TD series was formed to amalgamate three main types of documents, namely record papers (RP), record memoranda (RM), and papers for publication (PP). The record papers were accounts of work in progress, the record memoranda were internal reports, but with a possible wider circulation, and the papers for publication were published material.
