This series contains policy files relating to the proposals for the development of land at Stansted, Essex, and papers concerning the setting up of both the local public inquiry and the commission on the Third London Airport (Roskill Commission), including verbatim transcripts of evidence presented.

The series includes some files which were re-registered into the TLA file series from the P2 and P3 file series (HLG 131), the PF3 series (HLG 145), and the LP series: MT 135.
