Description:

Tithe map of Newington next Hythe [Newington] (parish), Kent. Shows buildings, fort, martello tower, landownership, named roads, military road, waste land, heath/moor, footpath and/or bridleway, waterbodies, canal with towpath. Some foreshore features depicted: sea walls, low water mark, shingle. Index diagram. Colouring used. Scale: 1 inch to 3 chains. First class map. Construction lines shown. By John Adams, Hawkhurst. The map is dated 1832 but is perhaps a copy of c.1839.
