This series contains a set of stores code books from British Railways' Eastern Region, used for ordering purposes and a file concerning the organisation of the Store Superintendent's Department at January 1956.

The books in this series contain the code numbers of stores for ordering purposes. They were issued by the Stores Superintendent at York. They are all undated but from one or two letters that remain with them it would appear they were in use c. 1959/1960.
