Administrative / biographical background:

The Olympic Park Legacy Company was responsible for the long-term planning, development, management and maintenance of the Olympic Park and its facilities after the London 2012 Games. The Legacy Company was established in May 2009 by its founders the Mayor of London, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), and the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG).

The London Legacy Development Corporation was established in 2012, replacing the Olympic Park Legacy Company.
