Administrative / biographical background:

ReferNet is a network, established in 2002 by the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (CEDEFOP), to provide comparable information across Europe in Vocational Education and Training (VET). It provides a decentralised information exchange, based on national consortia in participating countries, made up of VET stakeholders. The International Unit of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) is the coordinator of UK ReferNet. This UK network is jointly funded by CEDEFOP and the Joint International Unit (DIUS/DCSF).
