Administrative / biographical background:

The Family Health Services Appeal Authority (FHSAA) considers appeals against the decisions of primary care trusts. The FHSAA is independent of the Department of Health.

Under the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007, the the administration of the FHSAA transferred to the jurisdiction of the Tribunals Service as the Primary Health Lists Tribunals, which has subsequently become part of the First-tier Tribunal - Health, Education and Social Care Chamber.
