Administrative / biographical background: |
Area Regeneration Programmes Division (ARPD) was formed in 1996 when the Action for Cities Unit (AT 132) was split into the English Partnerships Sponsorship Branch (EPSB) and Cities Policy Co-ordination Division (CPCD) (AT 149). ARPD was reponsible for the management of programmes within the Single Regeneration Budget and departmental relations with the voluntary sector and faith issues, including sponsorship of the Inner Cities Religious Council. The majority of the division's work was non-primary, representing the Department of the Environment (DoE) in a wide range of programme. The bulk of material for review relates to the Inner Cities Religious Council on which it took the lead. It was absorbed into the Regeneration Division by 1998. |
