Printed prize appeal from the High Court of Admiralty. Captured ship: Norge, and Kron Princesse Maria (unknown master). Nationality: Danish. History: two Danish East Indiamen; taken on 29 and 31 January 1808 respectively by HMS Sceptre (Joseph Bingham commanding and bound from Bombay to England), and brought first into the Cape of Good Hope, and then to England. Appellant: John Page agent of the captor. Edward Hawke Locker, agent of Admiral Sir Edward Pellew (now Lord Exmouth) for a flag share in the capture. Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 21 February 1818 (folios 169-176). Decision: against the appeal. Folios 169-170: case on behalf of the appellant; Folio 170: decree; Folios 171-176: case on behalf of the respondent |
