Printed prize appeal from the Vice-Admiralty Court of Antigua. Captured ship: Charles Williams (master George Laverty). Nationality: American. History: bound from Martinique to New York, laden with sugar, coffee, cocoa and rum; taken on 31 December 1806 by HMS St Lucia (Charles Gordon commanding), and brought into Antigua. Appellant: Peter van Wagener supercargo as claimant of part of the cargo on behalf of G and T Meyers, Ebenezer Stevens and I P Longchamp. Respondent: The captor. Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 24 November 1810 (folios 195-211) [no folios 198, 207, 210]. Decision: goods to be restored subject to further proof within 9 months.
