Description:

Printed prize appeal from the High Court of Admiralty.

Captured ship: Jonge Anthon (master Jan Teves).

Nationality: Papenburg.

History: bound from Riga to London, laden with hemp, cordella, potash and linseed; taken on 28 November 1809 by HMS Aggressor gun brig (John Watson commanding), and brought into Sheerness.

Appellant: The captor and HMPG.

The master for the ship; and Lewis Paleske for the cargo as consignee.

Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 28 July 1810 (folios 550-571).

Decision: against the appellant, appellant to pay costs of the appeal.
