Description:

Printed prize appeal from the High Court of Admiralty.

Captured ship: Hendrick (master Peter Hansen).

Nationality: Prussian.

History: bound from Bordeaux to London, laden with wine; taken on 10 September 1809 by HMS Cadmus (J Williams commanding), and brought into Plymouth.

Appellant: The captor and HMPG (ship and cargo restored 27 October 1809).

John Lewis Greffulke and Firmin de Tastet, merchants of London, claiming ship and cargo as protected by HM licence.

Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 23 June 1810 (folios 358-373).

Decision: against the appeal, sentence affirmed.
