Description:

Printed prize appeal from the High Court of Admiralty.

Captured ship: Susanna Charlotta (master Peter Petersen).

Nationality: Danish.

History: bound from Tonningen to Algeciras and Malaga, laden with linen and glass; taken on 27 September 1806 by the privateer Happy Return (Nicholas Irwin commanding), and brought into Plymouth.

Appellant: Henry Burmester merchant of London for part of the cargo on behalf of neutral subjects, A Durninger and Co of Herrnhut, Saxony.

Respondent: The captor.

Bound printed appeal with manuscript decrees of 1 and 3 March 1810 (folios 558-581).

Decision: sundry goods to be condemned, others put to further proof.
