Printed prize appeal from the Vice-Admiralty Court of Malta.

Captured ship: Pennsylvania (master Hugh McPherson).

Nationality: American.

History: bound from Trieste to Canton, laden with quicksilver; taken on 13 May 1807 by the privateers san Jose (Vincenzo Villiano commanding), Madonna de la Erba and Minerva (Andrea Mongiardino commanding) and La Gran Bretagna (Ignazio Sacchetto commanding) and brought into Malta.

Appellant: The master for the ship and cargo on behalf of Messrs Richard H Wilcox and Co merchants of Philadelphia.

Respondent: The captors.

Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 28 June 1809 (folios 156-174).

Decision: ship and cargo to be restored.
