Description:

Printed prize appeal from the High Court of Admiralty.

Captured ship: Nyt Gedacht (master Jan Walraave).

Nationality: Danish.

History: bound from Bergen to Dort, laden with oil, fish, stock and fire wood; taken on 27 March 1799 by HMS Pylades (Adam McKenzie commanding), and brought into Great Yarmouth.

Appellant: Jens Wolff merchant of London for the ship and cargo as property of Danish subjects.

Respondent: The captor.

Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 9 December 1807 (folios 245-256) [no folio 254].

Decision: against the appeal.
