Printed prize appeal from the Vice-Admiralty Court of Bermuda. Captured ship: Hector (master George Connell). Nationality: American. History: bound from Bordeaux to Philadelphia, laden with wine, brandy, specie and merchandise including looking glasses, silk stockings, prints; taken on 27 July 1795 by the privateer Experiment (John Nash commanding), and brought into Bermuda. Appellant: Samuel Bayard the American Agent on behalf of the master. Respondent: The captor. Bound printed appeal with manuscript decree of 22 June 1799 (folios 108-136). Decision: to be restored.
