The Committee of Inquiry into Hunting with Dogs in England and Wales (the Burns Inquiry) was a government committee set up in December 1999 to examine the facts in the debate in the UK about fox hunting and other forms of hunting with dogs. The committee was chaired by the retired senior civil servant Lord Terence Burns, and issued its final report in June 2000.
