The Advisory Committee on Novel Foods and Processes (ACNFP) is a non-statutory, independent body of scientific experts, consumer representatives and an ethicist that advises the Food Standards Agency on any matters relating to novel foods (including genetically modified foods) and novel processes (such as food irradiation). It is an advisory non-departmental public body, sponsored by the Food Standards Agency

The primary role of the ACNFP is the safety assessment of notifications of traditional novel foods under regulation (EU) 2015/2283. The committee has published an annual report at least since 1989.
