From: W Henry Grove, Lymington [Hampshire].

Subject Matter: Letter with reference to Grove's statement in his letter of the 10 October 1866, he now encloses his own individual appeal against the validity of the Poll taken here on the 11 September 1866 for the adoption of the Local Government Act 1858, appealed under the powers of section 3 of the amended Local Government Act 1863. Grove explains that this appeal is founded on the opinion of Mr Colridge QC, and that if a copy of his opinion and the case is required, he suggests that it is requested in writing.
