To: The General Board of Health.

From: George Bailey, Clerk to the Luton Local Board, Luton [Bedfordshire].

Subject Matter: Letter enquiring as to the compulsory purchase of land for widening a pathway, which has only once been repaired in the last 5 years by the parish, and also whether the Luton Local Board can repair such a pathway. Bailey also enquires as to the signing of documents relating to the Public Health Act 1848 by members of the Board at the meetings of the Board, and as to whether the Seal should be affixed at the meeting. He further enquires as to the proper proceedings to be taken respecting a contract or tender for the town with gas which has been accepted and agreed by the Board.
