This file registry was started in the Department of Social Security's Policy Group Division E in 1994, which was reorganised into policy groups in 1997. When the Department for Work and Pensions was created in 2001 this policy group sat in the Pensions and Children Client Group Directorate until 2003, then moving to the Pensions and Disability Directorate until closure in 2006.
