Description: |
Folio 277: Commissioner Sire Edward Gregory, Chatham. In 1694, 17 pressed Shipwrights were sent from Newcastle; 13 remained and were discharged when no longer required. The remainder deserted, including William Hanby, and were made 'R'. The imprest for the Clerk of the Cheque has arrived, it is hoped that it is sufficient for Mr Hale's purposes but Mr Gregory believes that the payment of conduct money under his muster will require as much again. |
