Administrative / biographical background:

In 1964 the Housing Division within the Ministry of Housing and Local Government was split to form Housing Division A and Housing Division B. The H4 Branch was created at the time of this split within Housing Division A. The numbering of the housing branches was ended between 1990 and 1991.
