32. Dartmouth to Howe. Plans for the evacuation of Boston before the onset of winter and their removal to New York (or elsewhere). Proposals from His Majesty's minister at St Petersburg for the requisitioning of 20,000 troops from the Empress [Catherine II] of Russia for service in North America. Plans to send these auxillaries as early as possible in the spring to Quebec.
