Administrative / biographical background: |
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office Treaty Section (at the time part of the Records and Historical Department) reorganised its holdings and arrangement of treaties and ratifications in 2000-2001 to incorporate a new database. The former distinction between European Community, multi- and bi-lateral treaties was ended, and ratifications were held as part of the same series. As a result the various earlier FO treaty series were closed, and all new treaties coming into force from February 2001 will be found in this series. |
