In 1965, responsibility for control of 'hobby' horticultural activities, including beekeeping, passed from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to the Ministry of Land and Natural Resources. Horticulture Division II handled the remaining commercial beekeeping organisations for which MAFF retained responsibility. |
