Folios 428-429. Workhouse Inspection Report Form from Robert Weale, Poor Law Inspector, to the Poor Law Board, reporting his inspection of the Mansfield Poor Law Union Workhouse on 30 July 1860; includes details of medical provision, management of the school, the vagrant wards etc. Also gives the following:

The number of Roman Catholic and Protestant Dissenters in the workhouse.

He suggests that a lunatic inmate, Ann Smith, should be sent to an asylum.

He suggests there should be more visits made by the guardians.

Annotated: write in the things as suggested in the case of Ann Smith. Prepare letter also on the subject of the visiting of the workhouse.
