Folios 641-642. Workhouse Inspection Report Form from Dr Edward Smith, Poor Law Inspector, to the Poor Law Board, reporting his inspection of the Mansfield Poor Law Union Workhouse, on 11th July 1871; includes details of medical provision, management of the school, the vagrant wards, numbers of inmates. Smith reports that previous recommendations concerning the school have been attended to and the cleaning is better. The yards need repairs, and the alterations have not yet been done. Suggest that sketch plans be submitted. 'Mackintosh' urinals are required. Paper Number: 31633/1871. Poor Law Union Number: 337. Counties: Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. |
