Montrose to the Lords Commissioners of the Treasury, regarding a petition of the noblemen, gentlemen and freeholders of the shire of Galloway. Includes the memorial of the Minister of Muckart (dated 19 May 1715) concerning parish stipends, the importation of Irish cattle and other 'manufacturers'. Also includes the memorials of the Parish of Dunkeld [Perthshire] (since the abolishing of Epicopalians) having neither Stipend or glebe, that of Crondale (Strathspey) and the Presbytery of Abernethy [Perthshire] for the building of a church, with money out of the bishops rents.
