Description:

Folios 356-357. Workhouse Inspection Report Form from John T Graves, Poor Law Inspector, to the Poor Law Board, reporting his inspection of the Bromsgrove Poor Law Union Workhouse on 22 September 1857; includes details of medical provision, management of the school, the vagrant wards etc.

He reported that the workhouse was fairly managed, that vagrants were not relieved there, the books kept correctly and there had been no marked change. He reported that the workhouse was clean and in good order. He had furnished the Board with a special report as to the contents of the wards, etc. of this workhouse.
