Description:

This series consists mainly of plans and working drawings relating to the building of the new Houses of Parliament after the destruction of the Palace of Westminster by fire in 1834, and subsequent maintenance and alterations.

In addition, the series contains some plans for earlier unexecuted schemes for a new parliament house, including a portfolio of drawings by William Kent.
