Administrative / biographical background:

The Client Contractor National Safety Group (CCNSG) is a formal sub-committee of the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) reporting to the ECITB through the ECITB Management Board. The CCSNG is a national steering group for the Safety Passport Scheme.

Membership of the CCNSG includes individuals, mostly safety professionals, representing the complete spectrum of the Scheme operation, including clients from the oil, gas, power generation and engineering manufacturing sectors; contractors including the Engineering Construction Industry Association (ECIA); the Trades Unions and the Training Providers. The Group is chaired by a member elected from the Client Group. The CCNSG Secretary is provided by the ECITB. The ECITB has operational responsibility for the formal management of the Safety Passport scheme whilst the committee’s focus is related to the ongoing determination of the scheme’s content, standards for approval of Training Providers, future development of the scheme and integrity assurance.
