The Review Body for Nurses and Professions Allied to Medicine was established in 1983. It was an independent body created to advise Government on the pay of nurses, midwives, health visitors and the professions allied to medicine. It superseded both the Nurses and Midwives Whitley Council and the Professional and Technical ‘A’ Whitley Council.
