Description:

Captured ship: Des Susters or Die Secks Schwestern of Lubeck (master Pieter Zaan).

History: a Lubeck ship (83 Lubeck lasts, 21 men), bound from Bordeaux to Lubeck, laden with wine, brandy, indigo, sugar and coffee; taken on 10/21 October 1747 off Dover by the privateer Culloden (Abraham Boxell commanding), and brought into Deal.

  • [CP 7-CP 32]: 14 sets of attestations, affidavits, and translations, taken and sealed by the ruling authorities of Lubeck, Mittau, Riga, Stralsund, Copenhagen, Rostock, Wismar, Calmar and Maarstrand, brought into court 20 January 1748;
  • [CP 33]: schedule of goods;
  • [CP 34-CP 35]: attestation as to papers, and abstracts and translations of the 64 ship's papers (all restored).
