Description:

Captured ship: La Revanche of St Malo (master Jean Fleury).

History: a French privateer (55 tons, 14 guns, 72 men), bound from St Malo on a cruise; taken on 25 August / 5 September 1745 in the English Channel by the privateers St George (Richard Medecroft commanding), Cruiser (John Sutherland commanding) and Fox (Richard Castle commanding), and brought into Plymouth.
