Description:

Captured ship: Der Printz Wilhelm otherwise Le Prince Guillaume (master Hinrich Geffkens).

History: a Hamburg ship (150 tons, 8 men and a boy), bound from Brest to Hamburg, laden with sugar, coffee, tea, gum, elephant's teeth, redwood and china; taken on 1/12 June 1747 between Dover and Dungeness by the privateer Prosperous (Soloman Courrier commanding), and brought into Dover.

  • [CP 33-CP 35]: attestation as to papers, and two sets of abstracts and translations of the 49 ship's papers [all these papers were restored except no 11].
