Description:

Captured ship: St Pierre or St Peter of Dieppe (master Jean Maniere or Monier).

History: a French ship (30 tons), bound from Dieppe on a fishing voyage; taken at the end of September 1744 off Le Havre by the privateer Swift (George Hudson commanding), and brought into Dover, and the master then ransomed by Hudson.
