Description:

Captured ship: San Magin (master Manuel Marine or Marinero).

History: a Spanish merchant ship (40 tons, 12 men), bound from to Lisbon, laden with raisins; taken in fight on 2/13 October 1747 between Cape St Vincent and Lagos by the privateers King George (George Walker commanding), Prince Frederick (Edward Dottin commanding), Duke (Robert Denham commanding), Princess Amelia (Andrew Riddle commanding) and Prince George (Fransisco Davison commanding), and brought into Poole.
