Description:

Captured ship: Le Jerusalem (master Joseph Durand).

History: a French ship (110 tons, 8 guns, 22 men), bound from Cayenne to Bordeaux laden with coffee, sugar, cocoa and rocoa (annatto); taken on 28 July / 8 August 1747 by HMS Folkestone (Thomas Gregory commanding) and brought first into the Downs, then into the River Thames.
