Captured goods: 2 trunks and 1 box of goods, seized from the Jeune Cornelis or Jonge Cornelis (master Sybe Broers).

History: 2 trunks and 1 box of goods containing suits of men's clothes, silk ribbons, silk stockings, silk palatines, embroidered gauze, pencils and paint, silk lace, embroidered muslin, ruffles and handkerchiefs, silk waistcoats embroidered with gold, flannel garters, box combs, quilted capes, silk flowers, silk gloves, worsted stockings, Spanish lace, necklaces, earrings, millerey [?] and snuff boxes, suspected to belong to Jean Baptiste Callais a French passenger on board the Dutch ship Jeune Cornelis (100 tons, 2 men), bound from St Valery to Rotterdam, laden with glass, honey and the trunks etc; the goods and the passenger were seized on 27 September/ 8 October 1745 between Boulogne and Etaples by the privateer Carlisle (William Owens commanding), and brought into Dover.
