Description:

Captured ship: L'Alerte of Dieppe (master Louis Philippe Clouet Dubuisson).

History: a French privateer; taken on 14 June 1746 off the Isle of Wight by HMS Saltash (John Pittman commanding), and brought into Portsmouth.
