Folio(s) 68-69. Letter from Lord Bolton [Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire], at Hackwood Park, stating that he was away from the county when the royal proclamation arrived but is aware of the issues concerned with food prices. There have been some disturbances but these have been dealt with. Bolton proposes to attend the meeting of the quarter session at Winchester and will discuss with the magistrates the best way of keeping the peace. |
