Folio(s) 27-29. Letter from the Honourable Edward Monckton, at Somerford [Staffordshire]. He is raising another troop in the regiment [Staffordshire Yeomanry] for Lord Bradford and expects to get Mr Walhouse, Sir Edward Littleton's nephew, to take another.

Enclosed: Printed handbill of a meeting of the inhabitants of the parish and neighbourhood of Brewood [Staffordshire].

Those listed will help suppress any riots and give information to the civil power concerning those taking part. They will send to Brewood market all the corn they can spare, until the markets are regularly supplied.
