Folio(s) 22-23. Letter from William Pember, reporting that the 'foregoing' letter [enclosed] has been published in the Bristol papers. Copy letter from William Pember to 'Mr Editor' dated 6 October 1800, suggesting how the price of 'the articles of life' can be reduced. Firstly, the distillation of all sorts of grain should be stopped. Secondly, announce to the world that the ports are open for the free importation of grain. Thirdly, the government should make a speedy peace. |
