Folio(s) 17-19. Copy out letter to Mr Wakefield. The Home Secretary welcomes the initiative by gentlemen in Nottingham to import corn. He will contribute three hundred pounds providing it is offered for sale at a price not below what was paid for it. If the price of other corn falls they may sell it 'at a price proportionate to its comparative value with that of other corn brought into the market'. Those who can afford the higher priced home produced corn should do so.
