Folio(s) 447-450. Workhouse Inspection Report Form from Robert Weale, Poor Law Inspector to the Poor Law Board, reporting his inspection of the Mansfield Poor Law Union Workhouse on 1 January 1857. He reported that the workhouse was clean and in good order. He made the following observations:1. Able bodied vagrants are only admitted in cases of extreme destitution.

2. The committee have inspected the workhouse more regularly since the last inspection and there are no remarks calling for the interference of the Poor Law Board.
