A letter detailing the results of Audsley's investigations into signatures on petition sent to the Home Secretary by R Sutcliffe of Idle urging the Home Secretary to not grant the Idle Local Board their appeal for surcharges made on their account by the auditor to be remitted. Audsley lists a number of signatories who are either not resident in the Idle District or ratepayers, and a number of other signatures he believes are either illegal or have been drawn by misrepresentation on the part of the petition's promoters.
